The AIBP Visionary Awards is an inspiring and educational photography competition open to professionals, emerging artists, and hobbyists who photograph boudoir. At AIBP, we believe that challenging ourselves through competition not only elevates our craft but also enhances our ability to deliver the most empowering and artful boudoir experiences to our clients.
All entrants have the opportunity to work toward earning the AIBP Artistry Excellence Degree as Members of AIBP.
To ensure fairness, the competition distinguishes between commissioned and non-commissioned work, eliminating subconscious bias in judging. We’ve also structured the contest with thoughtfully designed subcategories so that images compete against others of similar nature.
This year’s esteemed judging panel includes last year’s grand award winner Heidi Baxagocsy, Roberto Valenzuela (@roberto_photo), Esther Kay (@estherkayphotography), Karen Bagley (@significant_moments), Pratik Naik (@solsticeretouch), Emma Finch (@belleprivephotography), Ric Lewis (@riclewisphotography), Gary Box (@garybox), and Shawn Black (@coutureblackphoto). Each judge bringing unique expertise and deep insight into the artistry of boudoir photography.

We’re still buzzing from an unforgettable weekend hosting our 4th AIBP Retreat!
It all began Thursday morning en route to the studio for our bonus day class when we got news that our featured speaker, Roberto Valenzuela, couldn’t make it, his flight was canceled due to the government shutdown & air traffic issues. After the initial shock, our incredible educators came together to fill the gap & we kicked off the retreat with positivity & purpose. Despite a few travel delays, the rest of the weekend unfolded seamlessly.
Over the next few days, we dove deep into posing, lighting, shooting, business, and legal education. Yet, beyond the learning, it was the laughter, late-night conversations, shared meals, and heartfelt connections that made this retreat so special. Watching artists experience those “aha” moments & seeing their creativity flourish is exactly why we pour our hearts into this event each year.
