Cate Scaglione
Class:
Unveiled: Bridal Boudoir As Art and Enterprise
For nearly two decades, Cate Scaglione has been recognized as one of the photography industry’s original boudoir photographers. Her signature aesthetic—ethereal, fashion-centric, and deeply emotional—strikes a resonant chord with clients seeking a finely crafted, luxurious experience. Cate believes every client should “experience” the creation of their art, seamlessly weaving psychology, dance movement, and the healing arts into each session. Cate is a self-proclaimed romantic when it comes to lighting. With minimal gear and maximum artistry, she sculpts each scene into a surreal, poetic narrative. Preferring window or available light as her primary source, she masterfully supplements with Geekoto’s constant lighting to evoke a soft, dreamy, intimate atmosphere. Through this delicate interplay of light and movement, Cate stages every session to become a sensual storyline, leaving clients with visually narrative albums and a loyal return clientele.
An international educator and sought-after speaker, Cate helps elevate both emerging and veteran photographers from both a right and left brain perspective… helping shape confident, value-driven artists.
Cate’s award-winning boudoir work and specifically much bridal related imagery… has earned her brand ambassadorships with several leading photography companies. Her images and insights have appeared on Bravo TV, NBC Dateline, PIX-11, VH-1, The New York Times, Grace Ormond Wedding Style, Hamptons Lifestyle and numerous industry publications and podcasts. She was named AIBP “Boudoir Photographer of the Year” in 2022 and is a two-time recipient of the “Ambassador of Excellence” by the Association of International Boudoir Photographers (AIBP), an honor she treasures. She is also an Icon Awards Associate. And, a guest Judge at the Icon International Image Competition, the new Society of Intimate Arts and most importantly, within AIBP. Cate’s studio, Life As Fine Art, is based in New Jersey.
