We are happy to announce the April AIBP Monthly Choice Image Competition sponsored by UAF Photo Lab.<\/a>\u00a0 Our guest judge for this month is Maria Arellano.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Maria is a Houston Fine Art photographer. A girl mom whose entire personality and business has been about female empowerment.\u00a0 For most of her career, Maria’s focus has been on children’s fine art photography. In 2018 she added Goddess Portraits focusing on women’s portraiture.<\/p>\n

Maria’s amazing journey with women’s portraiture has led her to focus exclusively on Boudoir with a touch of fantasy with a rebrand of Goddess Portraits. Her passion is to\u00a0focus on helping women reconnect with their bodies.<\/p>\n

Maria’s comments on this image, “The color grading with the soft balance tones between pinks and pastel greens create a harmonious image. I love the framing of the subject and how we are drawn to her face and expression followed by the implications of the pose. The scene tells a sensual story and I want to know what happens next.”<\/p>\n

1st runner up goes toTiffany Smith of Tiffany Smith Fine Art Studios<\/a> based in Perryopolis and Pittsburgh, PA.<\/p>\n

Maria selected this image as 2nd place because “This image feels very voyeuristic and intimate. The way the shadows and highlights play along the body create a very dramatic and sensual atmosphere. The over all effect feels very cinematic.”<\/p>\n

2nd runner up goes to Aloha Kelly of Love Exposed Boudoir<\/a> based in St. Louis.<\/p>\n

Maria’s thoughts on this image “The drama, the perspective, her reflection, framing, and lighting all lined up perfectly to create a dynamic image. She comes off both strong, sexy and soft at the same time. Well done!”<\/p>\n

This month Maria selected an honorable mention.<\/p>\n
