Our guest judge this week is Ashley Layden. Co-Owner Modern Muse Studio<\/a> & The Boudoir Academy<\/a>, based out of Oklahoma City, OK. She has been photographing for 13 years and specializing in boudoir for the past 5 years.<\/p>\n

“My goal has always been to empower women and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

As an educator I have a passion for creating sustainable systems in business that ease the amount of work that comes with being a solo-preneur or small business owner. I always strive to find innovative and effective ways to reduce the amount of time we spend working and away from our loved ones and the things we love to do all while sill making enough money to live the lives we want to live and enjoy.<\/p>\n

As a boudoir photographer my passion has always been to empower women to see themselves in the way that the world does. I love the ability to use photography as my creative outlet and change the lives of those around me.”<\/p>\n

Ashley’s comments. “This image is such a beautiful depiction of women as goddesses. I love the softness of her downward gaze and the loving feel she has, yet the incredible power that she holds as her body creates a brand new life. The light and the colors, and tones of this image is so life giving. What a beautiful celebration that this photo holds. I love the varying textures in this photo but how they all go so perfectly together and don\u2019t become a distraction in this image.”<\/p>\n

1st runner up image is from Kristina Daugherty of KJBoudoir<\/a> based in Chesterfield, VA.<\/p>\n

Thoughts from Ashley, “This image speaks to me with the great use of light and shadows. It is intriguing and mysterious, yet still manages to share so much beauty. The use of lines draw my attention to the subject rather than take away. I really love the editing and tones\u00a0 of this image as well.”<\/p>\n

2nd runner up is Linda Michele-Dobel from LMD Boudoir & Women’s Fine Portraiture based in Brighton, MI.<\/p>\n

Ashley’s comments on this image. “I absolutely love the natural beauty in this image. The subject\u2019s gaze is so striking. I also love the placement of the tank top, and the messy hair. Her eyes are what attracted me to this image as they are so beautiful.”<\/p>\n
