Before becoming a boudoir photographer, my life looked very different. I spent years in an emotionally abusive relationship that quietly stripped away my confidence and kept me from stepping into the business I had always dreamed of building. Even after leaving and eventually creating a new life with my loving, supportive husband, the road forward wasn’t easy. I walked away from a full-time job that didn’t respect my role as a mother, and I still remember being told I was “putting all my eggs in one basket” when I chose photography, supported by my husband’s belief in me.
I moved forward anyway.
Now, more than eleven years later, the most meaningful part of that leap isn’t the business itself. It’s the women who have walked into my studio and experienced their own moments of transformation. One of my earliest clients arrived feeling disconnected, unworthy, and deeply depressed. When she saw her images, something shifted. As she healed, her confidence grew. Her marriage changed. The way she saw herself changed. Watching that unfold showed me that this work is about so much more than photographs. It can be life-changing.
I understand the nerves that come with stepping in front of the camera because I’ve felt them myself. During my own first boudoir session, I nearly backed out. But once I allowed myself to be seen, truly seen, I discovered a strength and confidence I didn’t know I had. The way I responded to life changed. That experience shaped everything I do now. My goal is for every woman who leaves my studio to feel important, beautiful, and capable of more than she ever imagined.
When I’m not photographing women, you’ll often find me with my husband, Ken, my greatest encourager from the very beginning. We love exploring new places, trying local restaurants, and traveling whenever we can. Ireland holds a special place in my heart so far. I’m also a proud mom to three daughters and a devoted fur mom to two spirited poodles who keep life interesting.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: women deserve to be celebrated. Because when you truly see yourself as strong, beautiful, and absolutely worthy, you also discover the courage to move past fear and do the hard things you never thought you could.
Above all, I want you to walk away not only loving your images, but quietly thinking to yourself, I never knew I could feel this way.
